Shipwrecks
As a peninsula, the history of Stockton is tied to the water - be it ocean, harbour or river. The power of the ocean is demonstrated in many ways, including shipwrecks. Stockton is the final resting place to many wrecked ships and was the scene of many temporary beachings.
